How to Tell Your Skin Type

Knowing your skin type makes it much easier to care for it and takes away the guesswork about which products or routine works best for you.

Here's a simple guide:

Dry skin often feels tight, rough, or flaky, and it can sometimes feel sensitive.

Oily skin tends to produce excess oil, particularly around the forehead, nose, and chin.

Combination skin is a mix of both types, often with an oily T-zone and drier cheeks.

Normal skin usually feels nourished and comfortable, not too oily or too dry.

Sensitive skin is not necessarily a skin type. It is a condition/state your skin is experiencing due to a weakened/aggravated skin barrier. Oily, Dry, and Combination skin types can all experience skin sensitivity at one time or another. Once you have identified your skin type, it is easier to create a routine that works for you and meets your skin's needs. Your skin does not need every trending product or hyped up ingredient. It just needs some proper (suitable based on skin) cleansing and moisturizing.

Remember, your skin type isn't fixed. Changes in weather, hormones, age, stress, and lifestyle can all affect how your skin behaves and looks. Your skin is always giving you signals. Paying attention to these signs is the best way to better understand your skin and its needs. #sihleskincare #skincaretips #Naturalskincare #Handmadeskincare #Herbinfusedskincare #Blogpost
